German Guns Shell Dover Area
Received Tuesday, 7.45 p.m. LONDON, March 7, German long-range guns opened fire across the Channel in bright moonlight last night, sending two five-gun salvoes and then single salvoes. Shells fell in the vicinity of Dover for 20 minutes, shaking the coastline for some distance. The flashes from the German guns were seen with remarkable clearness, great spouts of fire lighting the whole sky..
