The Manawatu Centre pairs champion of champions tournament was played on Saturday on the Hokowhitu Club's green which was somewhat heavy in tlie morning owing to the heavy rain the previous day, but improved later with the easterly wind. Results were as follows: First round: F. Hearsay (skip) and D. Spring (Takaro) beat D. Duncalf (s) and N. Sinclair (Northern) 23—12, J. K. Paton and A. Slabieford (P.N.) beat P. Childs and W. R. Cherrie (Terrace End) 21—16. ,Byes: Feilding, Manawatu, Woodville, Dannevirke, Foxton, Hokowhitu. Second Round: L. Rodgers T. Pukloski (Feilding) beat liearsey 19—14, F. King and H. Christmas (Manawatu) beat Paton (P.N.) 18—16, R. Bly and Powell (Woodville) beat J. C'arston and H. F. Carston (Dannevirke) 25—10, S. Mattar and H Huff (Foxton) beat H. Kempson and S. Richardson (Hokowhitu) 19—17. Semi-Finals: Feilding beat Manawatu 21—15, Foxton beat Woodville 26—21. Owing to the late hour (6.30 p.m.) the finals between Feilding and Foxton could not be played.
