Patristic Shop
The first three days of last week were aken.by the Sunshine Club (conveners, Mcsdames J. J. Waller and M. E. McCul--och). Receipts were £27 17s 7d. The conveners wish to thank the staff and all who donated goods. An excellent and varied stock was on sale. A cash donation of 4s 9d was received from Bruce McKenzie”s gala day. Prizes for competitions were donated by the club as follow: Box of groceries, wall mirror, two sacks of coal and a lady’s handbag. WangAnui College Old Girls’ Association had the latter part of the week. Mrs. A. F. Adcock was convener. Receipts were £47 12s Bd, making the total for the week £75 10s 3d. Mrs. Adcock conveys thanks to the staff and the donors of quantities of fruit, flowers, preserves, cakes, vegetables and other goods for sale. Cash donations were as follow: Mrs. R. Law £2, Miss J. Law 10s, Mrs. Tennant 10s, Mrs. Foster Pratt 10s, Miss K. Coup 10s, Mrs. L. Gardener £l. Prizes for competition were donated as follow: Pair lady’s slippers, Mrs. G. W. Dixon; 501 b. of Hour, Mrs. V. Cook; mystery box, Mrs. E. V. Spear and Mrs. A. W. Adcock; lamb, ,M* SS J- Collis; 31b. honey, Miss N. Grant; Pyrex dish, Mrs. G. Sharman. Kairanga county is in this week. Mrs. S. J. Parkes is visitor for the Shop Committee. A donation of 10s from Mrs. Everson was omitted last week from the report of College Street School’s effort.
