The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report receiving a small entry of pigs at their usual weekly sale, all classes being sold at prices a shade in advance of last week’s realisations. A large entry of poultry came forward, one choice line of pullets realising £1 each, tlie majority of entries of other pullets being passed in owing to high reserves not being met. The usual demand prevailed for table poultry. Tomatoes showed a substantial increase in price, while vegetables also were in keen demand. Pigs: Weaners 10s to 14s Gd, slips to 13s, stores 21s to 275, light porkers to £2 is Gd. Poultry: One pon of pullets 20s, advanced xmllets 11s 9d to 15s, small to backward 5s to Bs, heavy hens 4s to 5s 4d, light 2s Gd to 3s lOd, heavy cockerels Gs to 7s 7d, medium 4s to 5s 7d, small Is to 3s, ducks 4s to 5s 9d. Produce: Tomatoes, best l’s 4s to 4s 9d, others 2s Gd to 3s Gd, peaches 9s to 12s Gd, plums 7s to 10s, quinces 11s to 12s Gd, grapes 2s to 4s per lb., cucumbers Is to 2s per case, lettuce, prime 15s to 18s per case, others 3s Gd to 10s per case, cabbage 13s per ewt., peas 8d to 10id per lb., beaus Id to Gd per lb., pumpkins 10s to 15s per sack, marrows 2s to 5s per sack, silver beet 2s to 3s per case, rhubarb*l2s to lGs per dozen bunches, water melons 2d to 24d per lb.
