Little Theatre Society

The chairman (Mr. E. J. Smith) reported at a meeting of the executive ot the Little Theatre Society that the society was helping the Army with the production of plays by military personnel in the local camps. The scheme was working well, and members expressed their pleasure that the society was able to assist. The chairman added that, in return, the commanding officer of one ot the camps had agreed that a full military orchestra of 15 players should be present and play at the society’s forthcoming production, 1 ‘Arsenic and Old Lace.” An extensive programme for the year’s work was outlined, and it was agreed that the interhouse drama festival be held in Palmerston North again this year.
