“New Zealanders Are A Great People"
GENERAL HURLEY'S TRIBUTE (By Telegrupli—Press Assn.—Copyright.) Received Wednesday, 10 p.m. WASHINGTON, Sept. 1. Praising the war spirit of the New Zealand people General Hurley said New Zealand s casualty list was greater in proportion to population than any other of the United Nations. “New Zealanders are a great people,” he said. “They have come to a full realisation that the present challenge cannot be met by words. We must at tack, defeat and destroy tne enemy ourselves.” General Hurley conferred with Presi dent Rooesvelt
