4,000,000 Nazi Casualties
(British Official Wireless.) itoGBY, Aug. 31. On the third anniversary of the PolishGerman war, General Sikorski, the Polish ir*rime Minis ter, to-day issued a statement reaffirming Poland's determination to continue to fight until final victory. The Poles, he said, regarded the difficult but heroic September fight and it* fatai results as a lost campaign, not as a lost war; as the defeat of the regime but not the defeat of Poland. Therefore, they nad never laid uown arms for & moment. General Sikorski, dealing with Germany’s difficulties in the war, said that aer losses in men since Lhe beginning of the conflict amounted to-day to 1,600,000 dead and 3,0000,000 wounaed and sick, ot whom a mii.ion would never return to the .anks. In aduition, Germany had lost enormous quantities of equipment. General oikorski contended mat the raid on Dieppe proved that invasion of the Continent was absolutely feasible.
