National Day of Prayer
(To the Editor). Sir, —The public observance of the National Day of Prayer on Thursday next will commence in Feilding with a communion service in St. John’s Church for the communicants of all churches, and at 12.10 p.m. a citizens’ service will be held in the Tivoli Theatre. The notice appearing in this paper gives particulars of other services to be held in the churches on that day. As we enter the fourth year of war we are commanded by his Majesty the King to come together on this appointed Day of Prayer to thank Almighty God for His goodness to us and to ask his grace and guidance in the days that lie ahead. 1 J therefore earnestly invite all citizens to attend as many of the services as j possible and request employers to close their premises between 12 noon and j 1.30 p.m. to allowv all employees to atItend the public service.—l am, etc., T. L. SEDDON, Mayor.
