St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Children’s Party
Following the usual custom, the August meeting of St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Social Guild took the form of a children’s party, there being a very large attendance of little people with their i parents. The president (Mrs. M. i Aitchison) voiced her pleasure in the [ occasion and extended a general welIcome, particularly mentioning the young visitors. Arranged by Miss Thompson, the children provided a programme of vocal and instrumental items varied with recitations and dances in the schoolroom, to the delight of all present. An adjournment was then made to the Memorial Hall where a real party tea was served on long tables charmingly arranged with spring flowers by Mrs. J. Galland and laden with good things to eat. This treat had been provided by the executive, who , were thanked by John Hubbard on behalf of the guests. The following contributed to the afternoon’s programme: John Hubbard, Annie Robertson, Russell Doak, Mary Hubbard, Peter Dobson, June Pilcher, Alan McNab, Georgina Robertson, Bruce Sinclair, Kenny Sykes, Noeline Reid, Robin Newick, , Margaret Hubbard, Graeme McLennan, i Dougal Page, Keith Pope, Millicent i Cunningham, John Nesbit, Benny Scandel, Barbara Pearce, Robert Tennant, Pat Denby, Lynette Hall, Valerie Boggs, Jenifer Lascelles, Jean McDowall, Neil Neilsen, Betty Foster, Annie Robertson, Wendy Petersen, Joan Emmett, Jackie Register, Gerald Lascelles, Anthony Opie, Pat Denby, Graeme Hubbard, Janet Annabel, Valerie Voss, Betty and Dawn Olsen. The accompaniments were played by Mesdames Lmmett and Garde Grimshaw.
