Mr. Amos McKegg*s subject to-day is an illustrated lakeland trip. Mr. S. F. Prosser presides. National Savings. The National Savings organiser in Palmerston North (Mr D. A. Robinson) reports that £682 11s is wanted by noon on Saturday. Citizens of Palmerston North are asked to make a special effort to-day. Those who have not already opened an account should do so now, and those who have accounts are asked to be sure to pay in their regular National Savings contribution to-day. The following towns in the district obtained their weekly quota last week: —Bulls, Dannevirke, Kimbolton, Levin, Palmerston North, Pongaroa and Weber*
