Marching Display
la response to numerous requests from those who were'enthralled by the recent massed band display, it has been decided to repeat this demonstration on Sunday week, the 14th inst., and incorporate therein new movements to make the performance even more thrilling than the last. It is the consensus of opinion of those who were fortunate to witness the last demonstration that nothing more spectacular has ever been staged in Palmer- ( ston North. Mr. Gladstone Hill, the organiser, promises that the now features , to bo incorporated will make the next demonstration even more thrilling. The main feature of this occasion will be a full dress rehearsal by the Manawatu Scottish Society’s Pipe Band of the drum majors’ display to bo given at the annual contest the following week, and even Mr. Gladstone Hill has admitted that he has never witnessed a more spectacular display. As this will be the last occasion that the Showgrounds can be utilised this season those who were delighted on the last occasion and those who were unfortunate enough not to be present, arc advised to reserve this date.
