The third meeting of the national joint advisory council composed of representatives of the British Employers’ Federation and the General Council of the Trades Union Congress which was set up to advise the Government on questions in which employers and workers have a common interest was held to-day. A general discussion was resumed on the statement made to the council by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir John Simon, on the financing of the war, and further discussion will take place in the council on January 31.
