GOOD RESPONSE THROUGHOUT COMMONWEALTH United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 11.40 p.in. SYDNEY, Jan. 3. The response by youths to tho call-up for compulsory military training which was inaugurated to-day throughout Australia was excellent. Quito a large percentage expressed the desire to be drafted straight into the Second A.I.F. The enrolment to-day affected thousands who becomo .21 by June 30 and will become liable for home defence.
