Centennial Commemorative Covers

(To the Editor.) Sir, —May I be permitted per medium of your paper to voice a protest against tho small supply of Centennial comment orative covers issued to country post offices. Our local office was issued with seven or eight sets and on account of the limited supply, local residents were only able to be issued with one cover. Residents who made enquiries last week were informed that supplies would be made available on January 2, and to be told when making application that only one cover was available was most disappointing. If our Post Office had supplied persons from neighbouring towns who scoured the country post offices with a request for sets of covers, local enthusiasts would have been deprived of any covers at all. In future I feel that the authorities could make better provision for country post offices.—l am, etc., “COUNTRY COLLECTOR.” 3/3/1940.
