Prisoner Escapes From City Lock-up
MAN ON INDECENT ASSAULT CHARGE Eugene Charles Dominic Patrick McCarthy, aged 33, who was arrested by the Palmerston North police or. Christmas Day on an indecent assault charge, escaped from the Palmerston North lock-up between 7.15 and 7.45 last evening. Accused is a man of slim build, sft. 7iins. high, has a fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes and is profusely tattooed on the right forearm. He is wearing a dark blue suit, but a light fleck stripe gives it a dark grey appearance. At the time of his escape McCarthy had no collar or tie and no hat.
