To-day’s Recipe
Barley Drink Four ounces barley, two lemons, 2 oz. brown sugar, one quart boiling water. Wash the barley', put it into a saucepan and just cover with cold water. Allow to simmer for 30 minutes, then strain into a jug. Add the finely grated rind of the lemons and the sugar. Pour over boiling water, stir until sugar is dis solved, and leave until cold. Add juloa of lemons, then strain and serve.
