Centennial Week Centennial Week is now in progress throughout New Zealand and one of the methods of marking this occasion is the flying of flags from the various post offices in the Dominion. This explains tho i-H'csenco of tho New Zealand flag at the masthead of tho Woodville post office yesterday. Car Strikes Ballanco Bridge A small car, travelling toward Palmerston North at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening, was slightly damaged when it struck tho corner of the Ballance bridge. The driver, a visitor to Manawatu, apparently mistook the turning on to tho bridge for the main highway and, realising his mistake, attempted to return to the correct route, but collided with, a part of tho structure. Neither ho nor his passenger suffered injury.
