A STRIKING COINCIDENCE
Woodville’s Vital Statistics SAME NUMBER OF BIRTHS LAST YEAR AS IN 1938 A surprising coincidence is revealed in tho vital statistics for tho last year in. Woodville, as supplied by the postmaster, Mr. H. H. Little. In. regard to birth registrations, tho statistics show that in the year 1939 there were 47, which is the same number as was recorded for 1938. Though probably not an amazing fact, the coincidence in tho number of births being the same for two successive years is possibly unique. Twenty-four people died in Woodvillo in 1938, comparod with 14 for last year, while marriages last year totalled 19, as against 25 for 1938. Apparently the effect of the war upon matrimony has not yet been experienced in this district. Tho comparative vital statistics for the months of December 1938 and 1939 aro also of interest and are as follow, the figures in parentheses being those for December, 1938: Births 4 (3), deaths 2 (3), marriages 1 (1).
