TABLE FLAT The December meeting was well attended and was presided over by Miss Elliott. It was decided to hold a picnic in January in the bush if the weather is suitable. There will be no competitions if a picnic is held. Members are invited to Mrs. Kilgour’s home for afternoon tea. The monthly competition results were: Sultana cake, Mrs. D. Hogan 1, Mrs. T. Elliott 2, Mrs. MeMur trie 3; three best roses, Mrs. D. Hogan 1, Miss Phyllis Hogan 2, Mrs. H. Jensen 3. The competition for the Christmas gift not costing more than two shillings was well entered for and this presented no light task for the judges, Mrs. Kilgour and Mrs. Harvey, and resulted: Miss Elliott and Mrs. H. Jensen equal 1, Miss Phyllis Hogan 2, Miss Molly Pettigrew and Miss Rao Jensen equal 3; garden circle best bloom, Mrs. Pettigrew 1, Mrs. W. Jensen 2, Mrs. J. Kilgour 3. Tho mystery programme was carried out by Mrs. McMurtrie, who had on display miniature articles on dressmaking which had been taught by her at the School of Art. Members followed with interest the methods of seaming and other fine sewing. Seasonal greetings were exchanged by the members and afternoon. Tea was served by Mrs. and Miss Elliott.
