Hotel Licensee’s Fatal Fall

AUCKLAND, Jan. 2. Fatal head injuries were suffered by Kenneth John Bennie, aged 57, licensee of the Ellerslio hotel, early this morning. It is believed that he fell from a bathroom window into the garden. He was found by an employee. A doctor and an ambulance were called at 5.10 a.m., but ho died in the Auckland Hospital at 6 a.m. He was well known in racing and other sporting circles.
