Men From H.M.S. Ramilles

PASSING THROUGH ON FRIDAY Five hundred officers and men from H.M.S. Ramilles, the British battleship which is at present in Wellington, are to visit Wanganui on Friday for the purpose of seeing something of the New Zealand countryside. They are to travel by a special train which will pasu through Palmerston North on its northern journey at about 10 o’clock in the morning and again on the return at about 5.45 p.m. The men are to be the guests of tho New Zealand Government and the party will consist of 15 officers and 385 men. Tho people of Palmerston North will no doubt welcome the opportunity to seo them as they pass through for they represent portion of tho crew of one of the largest lighting ships to visit this country for many years.
