Great Anglo-French Force Gathering Reports in Italian Press United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 7.30 p.m. LONDON, January 1. The Rome press declares that Russia has massed 800,000 men on the Afghan frontier. Britain and France are organising an Expeditionary Force of 300,000 under General Weygand as a precautionary measure. The Cairo correspondent of II Messagero says the Russians are also concentrating in the Caucasus, and because of this Britain, France and Turkey are discussing the immediate formation of an advance force in this region. Iran (Persia) has 50,000 under arms and is hastening her fortifications. The Foreign Ministers of Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan decided on joint defensive preparations. Iraq continues to fortify the Russian-Iraq frontier.
