From Our Own Correspondent. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Mann, Miramar, Wellington, are spending three weeks with their daughter, Mrs. A. E. Bergh, M alter ua, and their son, Mr. P. J. Mann, who recently joined the Air Force, is also spending his Christmas leave at Makerua. The Misses Mitchell, Wanganui, and Miss Mitchell, Wellington, are the guests of their sister, Mrs. E. 11. Best, Kingston Road. Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Bason, Mangaore, left by carbon a holiday tour last Saturday. They will go north as far as Auckland. Miss Rothchild, Auckland, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Cameron, MangaMr. and Mrs. J. Grant and Jean have gone north and will visit several towns while away on holiday. Mr. H. E. Knowles (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Knowles, Mrs. 11. G. L-eng Ward, Mr. D. Leng Ward and Miss Dicrdre Bong Ward were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. Young, Kiwitea, for ChristMrs. Stokes, Vance Street, left on Tuesday for Auckland, where she will in future reside. Miss liorna Jenkins, who has obtained her general and maternity nursing certificates and has for the past five years been at the Palmerston North Hospital, will take up a position as junior sister at the Auckland Hospital eany in the new Mr. and Mrs. Fraser, Mangaore, have returned from two weeks’ holiday leave which was spent at Wellington. After a period of two and a-half years spent with her aunt at Hari Ilari, South Island, Iris Andrews has returned home. The Misses D. and P. Smith, Moutoa. left this week to spend two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. J. McKendry at Christchurch.
