A happy throng gathered on Boxing night, the occasion being a dance and euchre party held in conjunction with the raising of funds for the local tennis courts by the Young Peoples’ Sports Club. Everyone enjoyed the music rendered by Aliss Phillis XVilton, Tokomaru; extras being played by Aliss Connie Hills, Tokomaru and Airs Claridge of Opiki. Air. EKay and Aliss E. Hill and Air. Len Tregell and partner won the Alonte Carlos, while Air. Free of Tokomaru and Partner won the luck Gay Gordons. Air. AI. Tantrum was M.C, Among the ladies present were Alesdames XV. Basil Orr, of Opiki, will be sorry to hear that he met with a serious motor-car accident near the 101 l bridge an Christmas Day.
