Settlement Before Exhaustion
PRESIDENT DE VALERA’S OPINION United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 7.20 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 26. President do Valera, broadcasting to America, declared that tho belligerents should seek a settlement instead of waiting for exhaustion, which would compel them to adopt that course. “A conference will bo inevitable eventually. Commonsense suggests that it should be tried before tho war has wrought its full havoc."
