LARGE CROWD IN HOLIDAY MOOD AT AWAPUNI

Frocks of Infinite Colour and Variety

Tho holiday spirit was much in evidence at Awapuni yesterday, when there was a record attendance to enjoy the best of good racing for tho second day of tho Manawatu Racing Club's Christmas meeting. VICTORIAN PONY EARRINGS The latest earrings clips and bracelets from Paris and London, are designed to imitate the popular Victorian posy. One attractive piece shows u dozen lovely sapphires clustered into flower shapes, with, here and there, a tiny ruby and surrounded by diamond leaves. This ornament can be worn as a brooch, separated into a pair of clips, or mounted on a platinum “manacle" bracelet. These platinum foundations are growing more popular every day. Tosy earrings are most attractive and owe their beauty to the delicacy and lightness of setting. Sometimes tho posy, mounted on a clip, rests right on the lobe of the ear, or it may bo suspended by a slender platinum chain.
