Australia’s first short-wave world broadcast was received clearly in nearly all countries for which the five-language programme was destined. Cable reports received by the Ministry of Information to-day indicate that Australia’s voice brought to listeners in Allied and neutral countries a welcome omphssis of the Empire’s unity. The British Minister in Bulgaria reported that tho reception in Sofia was excellent.
