United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Dec. 21. The Siegfried Line i a undergoing an extension eastwards along the Rhine as far as Lake Constance, on the northeast border of Switzerland . This morning’s French war communique reports patrol activity on either side along the Saar. A German High Command communique states: “On the Western Front there has been slightly more intensive local artillery activity. A French reconnaissance plane was brought down near the frontier. ”
