Soviet’s Exit From World’s Fair United Pres* Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, Dec. 21. Mr George Harvey, president of Queen’s Borough, in which the world’s fair is located, to-day proclaimed a half-holiday for borough employees to celebrate the removal of the Russian pavilion from the fair. He urged private employers to do likewise. “I am sure,” he said, “that the people will feel, as I do, jubilant over the withdrawal cf a symbol so violently contrasting with the form of government which made possible our own peaceful Christmas. I hope American flags will be displayed thro jghout the borough to mark the official exit of sd unwelcome guest.” An Ottawa message says that the Canadian Minister of Finance, Mr W. t) Euler, announced that Canada would bf continuing her participation in the New York World’* Fair in 1940. He added that a theatre would be devcted to the presentation of Canadian films.
