NEWBURY FLOWER SHOW

Women’s Institute Display The Newbury Women's Institute Flower Show held recently was opened by Mrs. A. McCorkindale, who congratulated the members on the wonderful display in every class, particularly the arts and crafts section. &he said it would compare favourably with any show she had visited. Roses and other cut blooms, arts and crafts, and homo industries made a splendid display, and the members of the institute are to be congratulated on the success of this, their initial effort. The judges were: Roses, cut blooms and vegetables, Mr. and Mrs. J. Galland; decorative, Mrs. A. A. Graham; domestic, Mrs. Buchanan; arts and crafts, Mrs. McCorkindale; male section and juvenile, Mrs. Hugh Linklater. The prize winners were:— Roses.—Champion, Mrs. L. W.
