On the Caulfield tracks to-day, Gold Rod, B-eechwood and Cuddle covered the Futurity Stakes distance of seven furlongs with the honours to Gold Rod who ran the first half-mile in 49j500. and the full journey in lmin. 29$scc. Cuddle’s time was lmin. 29£sec. Country Party’s display was better than on Tuesday, beating Birthduy Boy over live furlongs in lmin. 2£sec.
