Knocked Down by Car
WOMAN’S LEG FRACTURED. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. Miss Joy Rose, of Forest Hill, was knocked down by a car driven by H. A. Edmonds, of Dunedin, this afternoon while walking across Deo street at the intersection with Don street. She suffered a fracture of the left leg and was admitted to Southland Hospital. GETTING LATE. Joan: “Would you put yourself out for me?” John: “Certainly I would.” Joan: “Please do. It’s after twelve, and I’m awfully sleepy,”
