Coronation Contingent

MAORI REPRESENTATION INADEQUATE. Per Press Association. ROTORUA, Feb. 16. Tho opinion that Maori representation in the New Zealand contingent to attend the Coronation is inadequate was expressed by tho Executive of the Maori-Pakeha Federation. After discussing the position, it was decided to send a resolution to the Prime Minister expressing disappointment that the loyalty of the Maori race was not to be more suitably recognised and expressing the hope that arrangements would be made to send an all-Maori delegation to England accompanying the Prime Minister in his capacity as Native Minister. Tho resolution stresses the opinion that both Royalty and the public at Home will be disappointed at the lack of Maori representation in the New Zealand contingent.
