From Our Own (hirresnomTent. Pig Marketing Association. On Tuesday last, at the farm of Air Ilopcroft, there was a very representative gathering of farmers, to listen to an address by Mr Hastings, of the executive of the Pjg Aiarketing Association. During the course of his remarks, the speaker dealt chiefly with the breeding, feeding and housing of pigs. At the close of the demonstration, a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Air Hastings for his Interesting lecture. Euchre and Dance. The usual Saturday night euchre party and dance was held in aid of the Tennis Club funds. The ladies’ section resulted in a draw, Mesdames Scott and Knowles having to cut-off, the former proving the winner. In the men’s section. Messrs R. R. Scott, F. N. Andrews and M. Kristensen had to cut-off, Mr Scott proving the winner. The consolation winners were Miss D. Atkinson and Mr J. O’Neill. Supper was provided by Club members, after which dancing was continued, the music being kindly supplied by Miss G. Dawrence. Airs L. Craven, Messrs A. Lawrence and L. Craven. Air Wm. Anderson was AT.C. The club’s thanks are due to Miss I. Anderson for donating the trophies for the evening.
