Pahiatua Show Ball
The Foresters* Hall was the scene of great gaiety on Friday evening, the occasion being the annual ball of the A. and P. Association. The hall was well filled with a happy crowd that danced to the music supplied by Anderson’s Orchestra. Visitors came from all parts of the district. An excellent supper was served and everyone present spent an enjoyable evening. Among the many present were Miss G. Austin, floral taffeta; Miss J. Crawford, lemon lace; Miss A. Porter (Wellington), floral georgette; Miss Rutherford, floral crepo de chine; Mrs. K. Lutting, scarlet georgette; Mrs. L. D. Lovelock, scarlet velvet; Mrs. H. M. Guy, silver and blue ninon; Miss J. Blixt (Palmerston North), floral georgette; Miss J. Menzies (Wellington), black wind-swept crepe; Mrs. W. P. Nelson, black ring velvet; Mrs. J. Burt, scarlet satin; Miss Tennant, blue georgette; Miss A. Boyd, black ninon; Miss Prebble, rose sprigged satin; Mrs. A. Jones, red watered silk; Mrs. Jones, black and white figured crepe; Miss B. Merrie, blue velvet; Miss L. Merrie, emerald green bcaute; Miss Tix, blue dove skin satin; Miss M. Smith, -white atelene; Miss M. Burgess, floral g'eorgtte.
