'Plane Wrecked But Nobody Badly Hurt
CRASH ON FARM. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A Sparton aeroplane owned by New Zealand Airways was wrecked on a farm at Stavely this afternoon but the pilot, John Kilian, was uninjured. Colin L. Austin, aged 26, owner of the farm, who was a passenger in the aeroplane, suffered a scalp wound. The machine, totally wrecked, was tukeu in a Jorry to Springburn and from there it will be sent by rail to Timaru. Tho pilot took off twice without his passenger to test the field. It was a gusty north-west day*
