Kairanga
(From Our Own Correspondent) On Monday, February 8. there was a large and representative meeting held in the Kairanga hall under the auspices of tho Fig Marketing Association. Air C. Newman occupied the chair and introduced Air Hastings, who has been touring New Zealand in the interests of the Association. Mr Hastings’ address was listened to with groat interest, and at the close a moving pietture was shown illustrating the different processes the carcase of the pig goes through before it is placed on the London market. At the close of the, meeting Mr Hastings was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The following were elected to form a committee to look after the interests of the district: Mr C. Hyde (chairman), Messrs C. Hyde, K. Prouse. M. Burmeistcr and E. Hall. - Tennis. A tennis match between the Sanson A team and the Kairanga A. team was played op the Kairanga Courts on Saturday, February «. The weather was perfect. Kearins and family arc holidaying at Paraparaumu. Air. apd Mrs. E. Kilgour and their small daughter Joy have gone on a holiday to tho Foxton beach. Mrs. F. G.
