Guaranteed Price
HAMILTON, Fob. 9. Referring to the guaranteed price when speuking at Horsham Do\«ns ou .Saturday evening, Mr C. A. M.P., said that the guaranteed * price of 32 9 1 fid per lb. was in »triefi conformity with the election promise-of an eight to ten years' average of previous prices. Mr Nash had stated that the price would be generous on the previous average of J2jd, so he added another sixteenth. (Laughter.) Mr. Burrell said that at the end of the present season, the Government, m conjunction with representatives-of the dairy industry, would revise ths price. The present indications were thflt the guaranteed price for next season would take into account tho increased cost of production, but he could give no definite indication as to what next season's price would be. “There will be a rationalisation of tho industry, for, according —to Bir Francis Frazer, there has been too much overlapping," said Mr Burrell. “Indeed, it has been found that no factory can produce economically on a production of less than 1000 tons per annum. Iu short, we have to get the industry on a sound financial basis.’
