National Spanish Aid Movement
Advice has been received from the Dunedin divisional committee of which Dr. McMillan, M.P., is chairman and Mr. Hunter secretary, that arrangements aro well forward for the dispatch of the medical unit to Spain which will, upon arrival there, work under the directions of tho legally elected Government of that country. Generous support for the movement is coming forward from the divisional committees set up in the main centres of the Dominion. Tho position locally is that despite the heavy calls that have oeen made of late upon citizens the ap peal is being met by a generous response. A handsome sum has already been subscribed, tho first instalment of which is being forwarded to the Dunedin centre by his Worship the Major and Rev. J. Hubbard who are tho trustees for the local fund. A baud of willing nelpers is at work who will give citizens an opportunity to support the movement. A second instalment will bo forwarded to the Dunedin centre in tho course of a few days.
