Feilding Municipal Abattoir

RETURNS FOR DECEMBER AND JANUARY. During the month of December, 1936, 97 cows, 35 heifers, 8 ewes, 334 wethers, 102 lambs, 2564 pigs, and 25 bobby calves were dealt with at the Feilding Municipal Abattoir. Fees amounted to £377 14s 7d as compared with £337 6& 2d for tho corresponding month of last year, au increaso of £4O 8s sd. During tho month of January, 99 cows, 3 oxen, 48 heifers, 7 ewes, 344 wethers, 5 lambs, 2344 pigs, and 3 veal; ers were dealt. Fees amounted to £359 19s lid as compared with £302 11s 7d for the corresponding month of lost year, an increase of £57 8s 4d. The following are the killings in the extended abattoir district for the mon;|i of December, 1936:—199 sheep, 343 lambs, 68 pigs, 10 cattle. Fees amounted to £2l 0s 6d. Tho killings in the extended abattoir district for the month of January, were:—l6o sheep, 269 lambs, 43 pigs, 14 cattle. Fees amount ed to £l7 3s 2d.
