Common Day for Anniversary Holidays
OBJECTION TO DATE OF IQNG’S BIRTHDAY Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. The executive oz tne Associated Chambers of Commerce is recommending to constituent Chambers that the provincial Anniversary Day holidays bn held on a common date throughout the Dominion. It is also making representations to the Government in favour of tho Kings Birthday holiday being always on the same day—say, the second Monday in June. Objection is raised to December 14 owing to its proximity to Christmas.
