Pahiatua Show

ENTRIES BEST FOR YEARS. Tho entries for the Pahiatua Ghow, to be held on Friday, are the best for many years. Remarkably fine entries have been received for tho hack classes and jumping competitions, tho quality of the competing animals being an outstanding feature. The cattle classes are ahead of last year’s total, while a similar remark would apply to tho sheep section. Post entries will bo accepted for the dog trial competition. There is a big demand for side-show space, and tho present indications all point to a highly successful gathering. A gratifying feature is the large number of new members which have been secured as a result of a steady and persistent canvass. There will bo a judging competition—sheep cattle —for members of Young Farmers' Clubs, donations of miniature cups having been given by Messrs J. H. Bremner, one of the primo movers in tho Young Farmers’ Club organisation, and Mr J. Campbell, president of the Mangatainoka club.
