Fatal Sequel to Motor Smash
DEATH OF WELL-KNOWN TARANAKI RESIDENT. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Mr. Albert Thorne, manager of the Stratford branch of Newton King, Ltd., who was injured in a motor accident near Taumarunui on Friday, died iu the Taumarunui Hospital to-night. His injuries included a fracture of the spine at the base of the neck. Air. Thorne went ovor a 300 ft. bank on the hilly road between fcitratford and Taumarunui. His companion. Air. Truby King, escaped with minor injuries.
