For the Coronation Choir
SELECTION OF NEW ZEALAND SINGERS Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. It was announced by the Prime Minister (Mr. Savage) to-day that aftor consultation with the Associated Choral Societies of New Zealand the following will be recommended for inclusion in the Coronation ctfoir which will sing at Westminster Abbey during the Coronation ceremony:—Soprano, Madam Winnie Fraser, Dunedin; contralto, Mist-' Christina Young, Wellington; tenor, Air. Gordon Fagan, Auckland; baritone, Air. F. W. Wilson, Dunedin. In the event of the blaster of the King’s Alusic agreeing to the inclusion of a fifth voice Mr. Hubert Carter, of Christchurch, will be recommended. In case «*iny of those selected for recommenda tion being unable to accept the invitation the vacancies will be filled from the following:—Soprano, Aliss F. White, Dunedin; contralto. Miss L, L. Corrigan, Tauranga; baritone, Mr. Denis Dowling, Dunedin. With the exception of Air. Fagan, who is still in New Zealand, all those selected are at present either in England or on the way there.
