FRUITGROWERS SEEK RELIEF (Special to “Times”) NAPIER, Feb. 9. A request that the 10 per cent, penalty on rates levied on August 1 last should not be imposed until the 193738 fruit) crop was harvested was received yesterday by the Hawke’s Bay County Council from the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association. The chairman, Mr F. B. Logan, explained that as the penalty had already been imposed the council had no power to removtj it.
