3JOCK VALUES AT WAIPUKURAU (Special to “Times**) WAIPUKURAU, Feb. 9. Despite the ewo fair to be held on Friday, there was a heavy entry of store sheep at Waipukurau to-day, when a steady market prevailed, with values slightly easier than last week. Lambs wero again yarded in large numbers and sold well in vendors’ favour, although prices were back as much as 1/6 a head. An exceptionally fine pen of wellgrown, early-shorn white-face lambs, offered on account Mr. F. Stoddart, Porangahau, made tho splendid value of 21/6. Medium-framed fat and forward wethers made to 25/6. Most of the breeding ewes offered were aged sorts, the poor mouths making better propositions for fattening than for breeding. An increased yarding of .fat sheep met an unchanged market, the freezing interests being active for the lighterfinished sorts. The only draft of quality in tho cattle section was on. account of Mt. Vernon Station —Red Poll bullocks and breeding lieifets, which met a ready sale. The 1 remainder of the cattle wore Jersey sorts, poor in fondition and, of inferior quality. ~* r
