Feilding S.P.C.A.

A meeting of the committee of the Feilding branch of tho Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held on Friday last, those present being Mesdames Brandt and Morphy, Miss Sinclair and Messrs G. Coleman, J. Nairn and Howe. Members of the committee reported cases of cruelty to cats, dogs and cows, which the society's inspector was requested to investigate. A complaint was lodged regarding cruelty of the methods used in dehorning cattlo in Ashhurst and it was agreed to request the Palmerston North branch to make inquiries. Application is to be made to tho Borough Council for permission to hold a copper trail on February 19.
