Success of Miss Jean Scott’s Pupils

Pupils of Miss Jean Scott (Perguson street) were very successful .in the Highland dancing section at the Wodville show and the Turakina sports meeting on Saturday last. At Woodville Miss Scott’s assistant, Miss Isa McKenzie was successful in gaining two first places and one second place also the gold medal' for most points in her class. Sola Ford was first Sailor 's Hornpipe, second Highland Fling, and third in the Sword Dance. Yvonne Nicholson gained second in Sword Dance, and third in Highland Fling. Beryl Medean wae placed third in Highland Fling nine years and under. At Turakina Nola Cooper gained third in the Sword Dance and Shiantriubbos under 32 and Joyce Waller third in Sword Dance 14 and under 16.
