Westland’s Many Charms
MINISTER LOUD IN 1113 PRAISES. Per Press Association. (JREYMOUTH, Last tfight. In continuation of his tour of the West Coast, lion. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, Industries arid Commerce, to-duy visited Rewanui, Rapahoe and Kotuku. This evening he is being tendered a civic reception at Greymouth. Representations were made for a new railway station at Greymouth and the extensions of the railway nto South Westland for the purpose of opening up of the wonderful timber and settlement recourses there. The Minister said regarding the latter request that experts were now investigating the matter which would rest with Cabinet when the investigations were comploto. The Minister will visit Roa and Blackball, returning to Christchurch on Wednesday. Ho is loud in his praises of the exotic beauty of the bush and mountain scenery and glaciers and the timber and agricultural potentialities of south Westland.
