Mother’s 83rd. Birthday Honoured by Family
HAPPY LUNCHEON REUNION. To honour the occasion of the 83rd birthday of their mothor, members of the family of Mrs. C. Donald, 315 Ferguson street, Palmerston North, reassembled at her home ou Saturday, to wish her many happy returns. It was a unique occasion as it is many years since all of her children, now married and living in various parts of the North Island, have all been together. A num-ber-of grandchildren were also able to be present and participate in the proceedings, the main feature of which was a luncheon at which Mrs. Donald presided just as she sat at the head 01 the table when all her boys and girls were young. Needless to say, she availed herself of the opportunity once again to impart some very motherly advice. A birthday cake, nicely decorated, was not overlooked in the preparations. Mrs. Donald was also the recipient of congratulations by telegram and letter, and of a bouquet of carnations and roses, the work of two of her grandchildren.
